I think you are ignoring the memorable soundtrack, especially the show-stopping number “Everybody Wants to be a Cat”. Who can forget the plethora of zany characters?? Thomas O’Malley and his swinging friends, the crazy old lawyer that sang “Ta Ra Ra Boom Deeay”, the prissy English geese, Abigail and Amelia and their drunk and rambunctious Uncle Waldo. And the two watch dogs who have American hillbilly accents because they’re in the (French) countryside named Napoleon and Lafeyette. The writing for these characters is genius.

Akismet has blacklisted something.ie as spam, which is why there was a delay in your comment appearing. It should also demonstrate what sending out pingbacks for every agrigated post has actually done.

I noticed that you rectified the Limerick Leader content, thank you.

With regard to attributing and linking to the original post, Linking to the original post with the authors name rather than with the story’s title is what I would imagine is the problem some would have with what you do.

What is all the fuss about? The mechanics of the Something site or it’s ethos? Nothing published on the web is safe from being lifted, most polite “thieves” will however give credit where it is due; but, that is certainly not guaranteed. All this is still a mystery to me.

Hi squid,

the limerick leader thing has me confused but we are looking into it. We will remove any of those posts either way.

As for pingbacks, we did this deliberately as we felt it correct to notify bloggers that we had aggregated their content.

In terms of how we link through to stories, this has to do with the fact that we aggregate two kinds of content here. Content generated on members blogs and content we pull in from feeds, technorati, etc. Currently we treat them in the same way, however, as with the google ads that suzy complains about, we will address this.

Again, we apologise for using your posts without getting your express permission. It was never our intention to try and describe your content as ours and we clearly labelled you as the author and linked through to your website for the full story.
